Reviewstream Update

September 5th, 2007

Reviewstream has been around for quite some time, and I am quite sure that they pay their members; up to the last cent. I have received numerous payments from them within the last 5 months, and I am quite happy except when they upgraded their processing software. It has become really unfair. Categories such as the travel, airlines, hotels etc., which I have known to pay the regular rate, have been lowered to the bulk rate. I guess it’s mainly because of a lot of cheaters. Before the upgrade, I didn’t mind that it would take them 7 days to publish my reviews; at least I know I am getting a fair payment for it. Reviews are now credited as soon as you click on the submit button, and later published. I just can’t figure how their algorithm calculates how much you get for the review. I had emailed them, and they said I should make my reviews longer. From 200 words, I made it to 250 words. And now I am on the 300 word count, and still the same. Their processing software is unfair. I have changed my email address, and made one specifically for Reviewstream, but after a few articles were paid the regular rate, I just get the usual bulk rate. It’s hard to make the $50 payout if you only get credited $0.30 per review. I have made sure my reviews were informative and contained my experiences. I have stopped writing for Reviewstream and maybe I’ll continue when the processing software is replaced, upgraded or becomes more reasonable.
