I’ve recently learned that my aunt’s cancer has come back. She was on remission and has even grown back her beautiful hair (which is now curly). She’s the youngest of my mom’s siblings, and truly this is hard for the family. We are all concerned, not only for her health, but also for ours. We have heard that some forms of cancer are genetic or hereditary. I’d like to ask everyone to pray for her. Thank you in advance for those who’ll be praying for my aunt.
I have always been religious when it comes to my papsmear, but have only undergone a mammography once in my entire lifetime. Although I occasionally look for signs of bumps near my breasts, and have not found any; it still causes concern on my part. It could be anywhere. My aunts and my mom have at one point had cysts or benign tumors found.
If you have history of cancer in your family; especially breast, cervical and ovarian cancer; you have to be diligent with your examinations. This is not a matter to be taken lightly. There’s no easy cure for cancer, the treatments are expensive and extremely painful. It’s best to catch it as early as possible.
