The Stretchmarks Dilemma

January 30th, 2009

There’s really nothing we can do about stretchmarks, it’s a natural part of pregnancy. I have them, and I don’t feel embarrassed to show them off. It’s such a minor sacrifice on my part because in return I am blessed with two beautiful boys, the first one turned 9 last December, the other one coming out this June.

Don’t fret too much about it, everyone who’s ever gotten pregnant has them. Only those born with perfect genes probably don’t, but that’s about one in a million women. Also, dermatologists have a way to lessen the appearance – it’s just too costly. In my opinion, why would I have someone take out my pregnancy battle scars? That’s proof that I am indeed a mother (a good one at that!) to perfectly healthy boys!

If you do decide to have a procedure done, it’s actually your choice. If you have enough money to burn, go ahead so you’ll feel better about yourself. But never be embarrassed about them, never feel as though those stretchmarks make you ugly. They don’t! And if someone tells you differently, they deserve a bleeding nose. Please call me if you need a hand with these ignorant people, I’m more than willing to slap around one or two bitches (or bastards!). Don’t worry about wearing bikinis, one piece suits are always in fashion (especially those that leave nothing to the imagination).
